F-15C Tinted Canopy / Bright Hud / English cockpit mod by Congo

Can't read the HUD on your F-15C Flaming Cliffs jet?

                       This may be your solution!

The brightness control for the F-15C's HUD is almost useless, and
the HUD colour options are just as bad. So our only options are to
darken the HUD glass or darken the canopy to make the HUD readable
in Daylight. The HUD glass has two overlapping layers that are offset,
and where the layers are doubled, the HUD tint is doubled unevenly.
So, the only neat and effective solution is to darken the interior canopy
     texture!

This Mod tints the canopy from the pilot's persective in the cockpit,
it does NOT tint the canopy in exterior view. However, the default
F-15C canopy is already tinted quite dark in exterior view, so these
textures nearly match up with the default external view.

Two optional textures are available in the contained folders, the Darker
Option is a pure grey texture, the Lighter Option is a darkened default
texture, ie. green/blue/grey glass coloured. By default, this mod uses
     the Darker Option.

You could tint the textures any colour you wish using an app like
photoshop or the free "paint.net", then save it as a .dds / dxt1 format
    texture.

The Install path for this Cockpit mod looks like this:

    C:/Users/Your-username/Saved Games/DCS/Liveries/Cockpit_F-15C/Default
(as of date above, DCS version 2.9.11.4686 )

One of the official DCS patches in 2023 or 2024 messed up the Flaming
Cliffs aircraft's ability to load custom cockpits from custom cockpit folders.
Any custom cockpits must be activated by using the "Default" folder as
    shown in the previous paragraph!

To uninstall this cockpit, delete the "Default" folder from the path shown
    above.

    Enjoy,
    Congo
